Google is working on including a Rescan button in the Play Store's Play Protect feature. This functionality may allow users to perform another scan without deleting hazardous applications discovered in a prior scan. The functionality is presently under development, but we get an early peek at it in Google Play Store version 41.9.17.

Based on work-in-progress code, an APK break down can assist forecast future features that may be added to a service. However, such shown features may not be included in a public release.
Google Play Protect allows you to scan your device for possibly harmful apps. If it finds an app that violates Google's Unwanted Software Policy, it will notify you and provide an option to delete it.

In its present version, Play Protect requires you to delete harmful applications as soon as they are found and prevents you from running another scan until you do so. This behavior might be unpleasant when it wrongly identifies an app as dangerous and prevents you from scanning the other apps until you delete it.
